So you want to know how CANDIED started, how it got it's name, and just the "Basics" behind it all?!?!?! Okay.... SO here we go!
How It All Started
IT was a cold winter day and... NO! It's March in Arizona, I don't think so, but really... I was really just bored one day at work and thinking about my portfolio I am going to need when I graduate college in '09, my teacher told me that in my major we need to have at least 12 web sites to show... you're thinking, "WOAH! 12?!?!!" yea, well that's what I said!!!! Anyways, I decided what better way to have 12 sites than to make a website which was not only my portfolio site but one that also offered premade layouts to others... so that is where it ALL began, now in 3 or so days I already have up 4 designs, and with now 3 sites up and running, I only have 5 more to go (which shouldn't be hard!)
How UE Got The Name Unique Essence
I sat there it seemed FOREVER trying to pick out the PERFECT name, I didn't want to pay for a hosting plan and have a name I HATED! So I just thought about what I like and what fits my personality well.. and WALA - SWEET, PURE, ENERGETIC... and what do you think of with just those 3 words? CANDY!!!!! So I looked up a couple of words in the thesaurus and saw the word "Candied" now hmm... doesn't that just sound like the PERFECT site name?!?!? Well it did to me... so that's what I chose and that's what it is... and I wanted to do a candy/sweets type layout so the name fit perfectly with that as well!

How could I forget..? Well umm... when did it start... hmmm... OH YEAH! It all Started March 27, 2007!
What is the Recipe to UE?
I use Adobe Photoshop for basically EVERYTHING! I just learned Adobe Illustrator and will be learning more Flash this upcoming quarter, so hopefully I will soon start to incorporate those programs into my design! I really want to make a flash site, so check back, it will be up some time this year! The whole layout it just different layers, colors, styles, and filters I put together to make my layout! The rest of the site, is just basic HTML codes, CSS, some javascripting has been thrown in too!
Is There A Distant Future?
WELL GOD I HOPE SO! Since this will now be my official portfolio site, I believe it will be up for a while! As long as I keep getting traffic/visitors I will keep it up... but like I said I will probably keep it up no matter what, it might get a different name or something in the future but for now I think it will remain the same for quit some time!
