How lonely a person can feel
When they lay in endless thought
Nothing to bring them out of trance
Feeling so empty with no more to give
A prisoner to what they perceive
Endless cycle, forever weaving
Realization of their frustration
Seeming to only last until the late hours
Yet to only begin the same tomorrow
Never changing, everlasting
Hoping that their dreams last a life time
To never awake to what is said to be real
Imagination, creating and scheming
Showing us what we want to believe
What a dream world it all seems to be
To wish upon a star, to daydream
The impossible and unimaginable
Hoping fate strings them a new path
One not so lonely and cold
To give answers to their universal questions
