Oh, how I wish I could be young again
Never having to worry
Having so much fun
Playing in the rain or the sun
Never being bored
Always being able to entertain myself
Nothing to be embarrassed about
No boys to worry about
Making trouble…
But getting away with everything,
Or just getting my own way
Crying…
Laughter…
Making it through
Day by day
Not caring about the future
Not caring at all
Being a little shy
Dressing up…
Having everyone do everything for me
Watching kiddy shows
Going on kiddy rides
Buying all the toys
Getting almost everything I wanted
If not…
I probably put on a big show!
Being able to fool around
Not able to touch the breakables
Pulled along on a leash!
Always going around being cute
A nice comment here and there
Always being forgiven for a mistake
I was a kid
I didn’t know what I was doing!
Never a big depression
Only a little tear here and there
Showing off…
I wish I could be young
Where everyone was the same again
Not different..!
